Easter 2022

Important information regarding the Masses on Easter Sunday

There will be one Mass at 8 am on Easter Sunday in the Church.

There will be two Masses on Easter Sunday at 10 am: one in the Church and one outside on the lawn. Last year we had 750 parishioners attend these two Masses. With less COVID restrictions, we are expecting even more this year. Praise God!

However, this means parking is going to be a challenge. To alleviate this problem, we ask you first to consider, walking, riding a bicycle, Ubering, kayaking, or some alternative means of transportation to Mass. Anything to decrease the number of cars requiring parking would be greatly appreciated.

For those for whom these options are not possible, we are asking all able-bodied individuals to park at Sacred Heart school and take the shuttles provided to the Church and then back to Sacred Heart School after Mass. Shuttles will run from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm.

Our hope is for each driver to drop off any passengers at the Church without going into the parking lot.

Before 10 am Mass

    • Please drop off your passengers on Santa Cruz Ave, using the Church side of the street to avoid people crossing the street.
    • Proceed on Santa Cruz, turn right on San Mateo Drive, right on Valparaiso Avenue, left into Sacred Heart school, and then left into the parking lot.
    • It is there you will find the shuttles.

After 10 am Mass

    • we ask the drivers of the car to shuttle back to Sacred Heart school’s parking lot to retrieve their cars and
    • then pick up their passengers at the Church.

I know this is a hassle but, with everything going on in the world, it is a small price to pay to allow as many of God’s children to worship Him on Easter Sunday. So, anything you can do to assist us this year would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if you are attending the outside Mass, PLEASE bring your own lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
