Welcome to BEaST
Be A Saint
We belong. We contribute. We grow. We worship. We invite.
BEaST is a place where every young person is invited to come as they are, contribute their gifts, grow in faith and friendship, worship Jesus, and invite their friends to join too.
Our hope is that every young person who comes to BEaST will discover that they are loved by God, called by name, and invited to become the saint God created them to be.
We meet every Sunday 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Middle School · 7th Grade
A Place to Belong
Middle school comes with a lot of questions, changes, and uncertainty. Our 7th grade group is a place where young people can come with those questions, explore their Catholic faith, and discover why we believe what we believe through engaging apologetics and honest conversation. They’ll serve together, have fun, laugh with friends, and grow closer to Jesus. Most of all, they’ll find a community where they are known, welcomed, and truly belong—a place they can call home and where lasting friendships can grow. In the midst of the ups and downs of middle school, we want our 7th graders to know they have a faith-filled community to lean on and a place where they can grow in confidence, friendship, and faith.
Middle School · 8th Grade
Growing in Faith & Friendship
In 8th grade, the friendships and community continue to grow as we journey together toward Confirmation. We’ll explore the Holy Spirit, deepen our understanding of our Catholic faith, and prepare to receive the sacrament of Confirmation—not simply as a finish line, but as the beginning of a life of discipleship. And BEaST (Be a Saint) is for everyone! We welcome new friends, too, including those who may not be thinking about Confirmation yet, may not feel ready, or simply want to come and be part of the youth group with their friends. There is a place for you here!
High School
Faith in Action
In high school, BEaST becomes more hands-on and more deeply connected to real life. We’ll have many opportunities to serve, hear honest and inspiring testimonies from young adults—and even from other high schoolers—and tackle the questions that matter through lively conversations and debates. It’s a place to wrestle with your faith, hear from people who are living it, and discover how to make it your own.
Confirmation: A Step Along the Way
Confirmation is an important step in a young person’s journey of faith—not the finish line. Our Confirmation preparation is integrated into BEaST Youth Group, which meets every Sunday from 6:00–8:00 pm, so young people can grow in faith and friendship within the community they belong to. We want our youth to feel at home in the Church first, and when they are ready, to receive the sacrament of Confirmation as a deeper “yes” to a life of discipleship. Confirmation typically takes place in 8th grade after two years of preparation, as required by the Archdiocese, though some students receive the sacrament later in high school. Students should have attended two years of religious education between their First Communion and the start of their Confirmation preparation.
If you have any questions, please send a message to Florence de Bretagne, Director of Faith Formation.
